The Great American Outdoors Group Purchased Sportsman's Warehouse

The Great American Outdoors Group, the owner of Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s, recently entered into an agreement to acquire Sportsman’s Warehouse for $18 per share.

The deal is expected to close around the second quarter of 2021. Before the deal closes an antitrust review will need to be conducted and Sportman’s Warehouse shareholders will vote. After the deal closes, it is anticipated that Bass Pro and Cabela’s products would be available at Sportsman's Warehouse, which would expand the retailer's selection of fishing and hunting items. The increased selection could give Sportsman’s Wearhouse the largest stock of fishing and hunting products of any retailer, and would also expand ATV and Boating products.

The Great American outdoors Group will also offer price match guarantees.
