The Good Bike Project is a unique initiative from Caroline Raleigh, who noticed a bicycle outside the OCAD University Student Gallery (Toronto) that had become a permanent fixture on the sidewalk.
Raleigh, alongside Vanessa Nicholas repainted the bike in a neon color with spray paint and then added flowers into the front basket. At first, the bike was planned to be removed by the city, but thanks to overwhelming positive feedback on their work, the city of Toronto has decided on "[...] a large scale project that will see dozens of variations on the neon bike placed strategically throughout Toronto. Each bike will mark a site that promotes the ethos of regeneration and community that sparked our creativity in the first place."
The Good Bike Project will continue to grow throughout Toronto over the next little while.
