'Mr Jones Watches,' the British watchmaker known for its unique designs, announced a new watch titled 'The Golden Hour,' designed in collaboration with Andy Wilx, a renowned artist that has previously worked with the brand.
The Golden Hour is a 45mm automatic timepiece powered by an STP1-11 movement. However, its design is its most attractive feature, rather than its components. The Golden Hour's design is inspired by 'The Secret Garden,' a children's picture book with a geometric art style. Wilx stated that he "tried to capture the balance between the geometric and the organic in a landscaped garden," when designing this watch.
The Golden Hour, as a result, depicts a worker bee on its dial with wings that extend to the edges of the case. The edges of the dial are home to a flowery wreath, which the bee is indulging in on the 12-hour marker. The second, minute, and hour hands rotate around the bee as though they were the petals on a sunflower.
The Golden Hour will only have 100 pieces sold at a price of £ 375 at Mr Jones Watches online store.
