The Desk Project Benefits Non-Profit Organization Kids of Kathumandu

Everything is better when it is done for a greater good and that definitely goes for The Desk Project. This project was created to benefit Kids of Kathmandu, a non-profit organization set up by two artists, which uses photography, art and design to raise awareness and funds for these children.

These two artists are furniture maker Andrew Raible and photographer Jami Saunders. After spending their honeymoon volunteering in a Nepali orphanage, living and working with 41 kids in Kathmandu, they decided to do something more when they returned home. The Desk Project was the first initiative for the Kids of Kathmandu foundation.

The Desk Project incorporates designs from New York architects, designers, artists and woodworkers that will be auctioned off with the proceeds going towards the children’s education in Nepal.
