Lung Cancer Awareness Ads

The American Lung Association and the Ad Council Launched a New Campaign

The American Lung Association recently partnered with the Ad Council to promote early screening in honor of November's Lung cancer Awareness Month. According to a recent study, lung cancer kills 422 people a day and many cases are not diagnosed until much later in the progression of the disease. However early detection saves lives -- survival rates increase dramatically when lung cancer is detected early.

So to encourage individuals to get regular screenings, the American Lung Association launched the 'Saved By The Scan' campaign. It includes a video of a replicated lung made from matches that slowly catches fire and warns viewers that even if they quit smoking, they are still at risk for lunch cancer and should get a lung scan.
