Magnetic Modular Keyboards

The TextBlade Can Be Pulled Apart and Stuffed In Your Pocket

The TextBlade is an innovative portable keyboard, developed by California-based company WayTools, that is claimed to be "the most compact touch-type machine ever produced." This is a reasonable claim seeing as how the contraption can literally be taken to pieces and carried around in your pocket.

The TextBlade consists of a trio of modules, each of which is about the size as a stick of chewing gum. The pieces magnetically snap together to form the complete keyboard. One of the modules forms the space bar, while the other two feature four oversized smart keys that comprise the rest of the keyboard.

Each smart key has capacitative touch technology that brings multi-touch capabilities to each button. This means up to six characters can be placed on each key.
