Now, with the ‘Tapje’ keg, you can drink draft beer whenever you like—without ever having to set foot outside your house. The Tapje keg is a small draft-beer system that is being used in the launch of Heineken and Amstel’s new 4-liter PET kegs.
The tap system, supplied by APPE packaging, allows beer drinkers to enjoy draft beer in the comfort of their own homes. It's is also much easier on the wallet than the traditional keg or crate of beer.
Currently only available in the Netherlands, the Tapje keg for Heineken and Amstel features "APPE’s proprietary monoBLOXTM barrier technology with oxygen scavengers," according to Popsop. This gives the container "superior barrier performance," ensuring the integrity of the beer stays intact (the oxygen is kept out while the carbonation is kept in). Once the tiny keg has been opened, the beer will stay fresh for 30 days.
