The 'Talon AD7200' is the world's first WiGig router and it recently made its debut at CES 2016. WiGig is a unique specification that allows devices to communicate at multi-gigabit speeds without the use of wires. The advantage of WiGig is that it offers higher transfer speeds that are not compromised by a restricted range.
Designed by the Chinese computer networking firm 'TP-Link,' the Talon AD7200 gives consumers an opportunity to test out WiGig technology and the impressive speed it offers. The router itself comes with eight antennae, which are designed to maintain fast connection speeds even when multiple people are accessing the device. The router also comes with four-gigabit Ethernet ports and two USB ports that facilitate wired connectivity.
Although the high-end router is not currently available to consumers, TP-Link has announced that the product will be available sometime in early 2016.
