A group of scientists and engineers working out of the University of St. Andrews over in Scotland have gone ahead and developed a futuristic and unbelievable precise sensor system that is capable of identifying objects simply based on touch.
The sensor system is equipped with a small platform that objects can be placed on, at which point it can accurately identify them. It makes use of a vast database of objects that it has been programmed to identify.
