Tablefields by Frederik Roije Serves Up Three Surfaces for Added Depth

The defining feature of a table is the raised flat plane on which items can be placed. Tablefields by Frederik Roije is an exploration of this form with a lighthearted extrapolation. Instead of elevating a single panel upon four legs, this piece presents its user with three smaller surfaces for segregating various items.

One sheet of powder-coated metal has been folded into a cascading three-tier table that appears to have been formed from a trio of completely separate panels fastened together. Three legs below the uneven tabletop hold the surface up to a convenient height, making it perfect for placement as a coffee table before a couch. Tablefields by Frederik Roije can be treated like different trays for arranging drinks, reading materials and decorations.
