In an effort to put a new spin on an Adidas classic, designer Yohji Yamamoto launched the Super Position Sneakers. The classy footwear incorporates the iconic Adidas Superstar sneaker while adding a quirky flair. Yohji Yamamoto took the triple stripe logo and transformed it into a series irregular lines complete with flowing tassles at the end. A bundle of red thread hangs off of the end of each stripe as if the manufacturer forgot to cut it.
Each shoe features a host of premium materials combined with superb design. The lace stay is made of suede while supple leather lines the shoe. In addition, the insole is also lined with leather. The heel tab contrasts with the rest of the shoe to anchor the design visually.
