Bollé recently created a new augmented reality experience that allows users to try on its new Phantom sunglasses. The sunglasses try-on feature is available on Instagram, and users can access it by scanning a QR code, which is available on the brand’s page. After users try on the pair of sunglasses they can search for retailers that distribute Bollé products.
The AR sunglasses try-on feature is compatible with front and rear-facing cameras. The front camera will show what the environment would look like through the glasses, while the rear camera shows what the user would look like wearing the pair.
In order to create an immersive experience, Bollé worked with QReal, an Ar developer, and M7, a technology firm.
