Coffee drinking is an internationally enjoyed indulgence, so Luca Nichetto was inspired to create the Sucabaruca Coffee Set with a worldly aesthetic flavor. Looking to various countries and continents for artistic and cultural influences, the designer collaborated with Lera Moiseeva on a beautiful collection of crockery for Mjölk that's intended to heighten the experience of sipping.
Canadian maple wood was used to make the warm textured tray upon which the coffee pot and the handle-less coffee cups sit; meanwhile, the conical jug suggests the form of an Italian fictional character. The smooth and pale ceramic material makes mugs of lovely purist shapes that harken to the Scandinavian design tradition. Finally, the Sucabaruca Coffee Set is textured with subtle hand-carved patterns for distinctive fingerprints.
