Electric vehicle (EV) usage is on the rise and Subway wants to be a part of this wave by introducing its very own charging parks called Subway Oasis.
Thanks to a partnership with GenZ EV Solutions, Subway will begin adding new EV charging stations to select Subway locations. According to the brand, the charging parks will offer a more seamless experience for EV drivers because there will not only be charging canopies with multiple ports, but also WiFi, restrooms, picnic tables, green space, and even playgrounds.
The new Subway Oasis charging parks will be rolled out over several years, starting with smaller-format, fast EV charging stations piloted at new or newly remodeled Subway restaurants. As Mike Kappitt, Chief Operating and Insights Officer of Subway, explains, "Our partnership with GenZ EV Solutions is a win for our guests, our franchisees, and our planet, creating a dedicated space for drivers to charge their vehicle while enjoying their favorite Subway sandwich."
