Dioramas, miniature landscapes and so forth are all over the Internet.
However, I found these by Jonah Samson and I was initially drawn as they are much like the subversive snow globes from a while back.
These are also very close in style to Thomas Doyle's subversive snow globes and I can't help but wonder which came first.
Implications - Formerly relegated to elementary school projects, dioramas have found a new life in the hands of intrepid artists, who use this traditional medium to create subversive works that poke fun at aspects of pop culture, celebrities and society at large. These pieces shock and titillate the viewer to create a lasting impression.
