Car ads can sometimes fail to connect with audiences for being too artsy or boring, two problems which the Subaru bobsled commercial does not have. In this spot, a WRX STI is blasted down the world's first bobsled run, located in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Behind the wheel is pro racer and James Bond stunt driver Mark Higgins. The Subaru bobsled commercial is incredible to watch and shows the capabilities of the all-wheel drive sports sedan in an awesome and organic way.
Higgins manages to make it down and back up the run no worse for wear. The same can't be said for his car, though. The Subaru bobsled commercial may be a bit too extreme for some car brands, but it does prove that when it comes to car advertising, showing is oftentimes better (or at least more entertaining) than telling.
