Many headphones and earphones boast an ability to block out the noise that's present out on the street or in an office, but the Sony Xperia Ear Open Style Concept identifies a different approach.
The conceptual earphones have been designed as apart of the Sony Future Lab Program and work to provide users with the ability to listen to music while also being able to hear the ambient sounds around them. This would make it possible to hear virtually everything rather than just one stream of sound versus another for what Sony has deemed an "unparalleled ambient experience."
The Sony Xperia Ear Open Style Concept features a slim design aesthetic and is designed to fit comfortably on the ear. No word on pricing or worldwide availability has been released alongside the earphones that were unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017.
