Clothing retailer Stussy has found another hip artist to collaborate with known as Savage Pencil. This British artist has his roots in the music industry and draws heavily from it for his creations.
Stussy introduced Savage Pencil and their collaboration in a short interview. Their collection of tees will be called Pencil X Stussy, and will be available on June 5 at Stussy Chapter stores.
Implications - Youth consumers are increasingly attracted to design that is rough around the edges; images with a DIY aesthetic feel more authentic to these consumers. Companies can leverage this as an opportunity for a connection by creating products that do not feel like they came from a mould.
