Creative agency AMV BBDO recently teamed up with several artists to bring to life children's drawings of their imaginary friends to transform the illustrations into three dimensional stuffed playthings. The end results stay true to the designs and visions of the kids that are then photographed alongside their creatives by photographer Rankin. The images capture the innocence of childhood imagination and how young minds view the world.
The project begins with a series of children that share drawings of what their imaginary friends look like that range from animals to dinosaurs and magical beings. The artists bring the drawing to life capturing the illustrative style of the child and simply focus on rendering the image three dimensional. The end works feature a whimsical lion with purple beard and pink-skinned girls with three eyes.
