Bubble-Designed Vases

Studio Oddness Uses an Interesting Technique to Decorate Vessels

Aptly named, Studio Oddness explores different ways to elevate the look of common objects. At least, that appears to be the case when it comes to its vase collection. Although these vessels adhere to some classic shapes, the pattern on its surface it far from classic. Instead, they take on the look of bubbles and for good reason. That's who the aesthetic was created.

Adrianus Kundert and Thomas van der Sman of Studio Oddness in Eindhoven "use[s] a special soap technique of blowing air into the glaze to create the beautiful, organic patterns," explains Design Milk. As a result, the series, dubbed Bubblegraphy, is beautifully organic. With a simple color palette of blues, greys and whites, they would complement any living space effortlessly.
