The Stretch Bench by Tak Euy Sung takes form in a canoelike shape where a thin oval design is elongated and meets at two pointed ends.
This intricate bench is made up of 17 wooden layers that are bent beautifully. It offers a wide seating area in the middle where it subtly slopes downwards so you can sit comfortably on this hard, earthy chair. The folds of these layers are shown through the surface of the furniture piece and also in the two chunky legs on which it stands. Tak Euy Sung is a designer from Seoul Korea and has an education from Hong-ik University in woodworking and furniture design.
He most have graduated with honors, as his wooden collection for interior design is outstanding, especially in the Stretch Bench.
