New York streetwear label Supreme is teaming up with luxury cosmetics artist Pat McGrath to create a lipstick debuting the company's first ever streetwear cosmetic collaboration. A first in the company's 26 year history, the limited edition lipstick 'MatteTrance' will launch as part of the Supreme Fall/Winter 2020 collection.
Much like Supreme's trademark red logo, the lipstick will boast a bold and luxurious finish. According to McGrath, buyers can expect "an iconic red, embodied in the ultimate matte lipstick," a shade developed exclusively for Supreme. Packaged in Supreme's classic bold red, the novelty lipstick incorporates elements of McGrath's sleek gold packaging.
Price point is yet to be announced but expect to pay top dollar for this exclusive luxury launch—that is if you can even get your hands on a tube. Given Supreme's past successes with rapid-sellout collaborations, expect this streetwear cosmetic collaboration to sell out quick. This marks the first streetwear cosmetic collaboration but it is likely to become a recurring industry theme for future launches. Although the release date is to be announced, you can sign up for first access on the Supreme website.
