The Street Capture project is an effort to reclaim stunning pieces of graffiti as furniture facades. The project is the brainchild of the Ariel Zuckerman Studio in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The studio's Street Capture project team attached wooden boards to walls to make for a clean canvas for graffiti artists. Over time, the walls began to be adorned with graffiti. In some cases, the surface would remain untouched for several days, prompting the team to leave it until something substantial was drawn on it. Graffiti artists were not specifically told about the project; rather, the blank wooden boards were left up to see what graffiti artists would create.
Once the boards were drawn over substantially, they were removed and turned into three-dimensional objects and pieces of furniture. Photo Credits: designboom, ariel-design
