It was recently announced that the Roku streaming boxes -- specifically the Roku 2 and Roku 3 -- are getting better hardware and offering new and improved ways to search for things to watch. As of yesterday (April 6, 2015) this will be going into effect.
The updated streaming boxes let you move faster through the interface as you jump between channels and apps. The Roku 3 now has a voice search feature in addition to remote control. There is also a new discovery tool called Roku Feed, which lets you follow films that will be ready to stream soon, where to find them and at what cost. The Roku 3 even works without wireless capabilities by connecting via Ethernet, USB or microSD card slot.
