London architect David Adjaye has designed the 'Stool 7,' a stool made from recycled metal welded into the shape of the number seven.
The seat is the first limited-edition product introduced by design website Standseven; only 40 of them will be made. The profits from each stool will be donated to pay for one child's educational fees for school in Sierra Leone.
The angled legs of the stool are offered additional support by way of a thin footrest, which leans in the opposite direction. Tamaryn White, co-founder for Standseven, explains that the collaboration with Adjaye was a natural choice, as his work conveys a "powerful integrity." The sleek stool 7 is proof of Adjaye's honest design principals.
