Acorn Amplifiers, a music company situated in Atlanta, Georgia, has created a one-of-a-kind guitar stompbox that doesn't merely give you access to a variety of effects in order to enhance and elevate your guitar sound, but also includes a pick dispenser should you lose yours or opt to toss it into the crowd.
The aptly named Pick Pedal finds its origins in what was originally intended to be a funny little side project to garner some laughs, but the prototype also managed to garner significant attention from musicians on social media, with enough demand arising that the company decided to embark on a production run. The end result is a stompbox equipped with a plastic pick box that is hooked up to a spring mechanism. When the foot switch is engaged, the spring prompts the pick to be dispensed through a handy slot where it can easily be accessed by the guitarist.
Currently the subject of an Indiegogo campaign, the Pick Pedal can be procured for pledges starting at $60.
