Office furniture maker Steelcase unveils its new Steelcase Karman, which is a task office chair that is inspired by the atmospheric realm. It joins the ongoing Kármán line and the most notable feature of the chair is its lightweight build made from mesh materials and frame design.
It also has a suspension seat that is aided with cushioning at the base to create seamless support. This uses the brand's performance textile Intermix, which is a woven material that uses yarns and other filaments. It is attached to a flexible frame and the textile is able to create a contoured support that is shaped to the body, which evenly disperses weight throughout the seat and backing.
