The Steadicam Curve is a compact camcorder-stabilizing rig that is optimized for use with the GoPro Hero action cams. The device uses a gimbal-mounted handle and a danging counterweight. Due to this configuration, the user’s hand twitches cause the handle to move relative to the camera, rather than causing the camera to move relative to what’s being shot.
A GoPro can be attached to and detached from the Steadicam Curve using a quick-release mount. The mount has a knob that can be used to set the camera’s balance and preventing it from leaning forward or back.
The Steadicam Curve also has a threaded cylindrical counterweight that can be manipulated to set side-to-side balance. This is important to maintain a level horizon in shots.
The Curve weighs about half a pound and comes in five different colors. It is compatible with all generations of GoPro Hero cameras.
