Local design studios Sander van Schaik and Robert-Jan de Kort Architectuur work in collaboration to create the holiday home dubbed Stay Under the Radar. It rests on top of what was once a military base in the Netherlands and is defined by its angular black forms.
The retreat is nestled in the De Hoge Veluwe National Park in a space called Buitenplaats Koningsweg, which is the former German military base that features aircraft hangars disguised as farm buildings. Sander van Schaik speaks about the retreat and its aesthetic. It shares, "Stay Under the Radar has a mysterious appearance with its black angular shapes – the folded down fibreglass open mesh gratings around make it seem like it has just landed on the forest floor."
