Starbucks and NHS Charities Together are partnering to provide healthcare workers with complimentary coffee as a small token of appreciation for all their hard work this year. The initiative will see NHS staff able to pick up a free Tall beverage in-store when they show their valid NHS ID, which will come as welcome news to those who need a pick-me-up. The coffee brand will also be providing 25,000 Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso cans alongside 42,000 Starbucks Premium Instant packets as well as baked goods to participating hospitals.
CEO of NHS Charities Together Ellie Orton spoke on the Starbucks and NHS Charities Together partnership saying, "Winter is always a demanding season for the NHS, with 72% of the public rating working within the NHS as the most difficult job to do over the festive period in a recent survey*, so this initiative couldn’t come at a better time. We hope Starbucks Free Coffee Giveaway will remind our NHS staff across the UK that their dedication is appreciated and they will be able to take a break from their life-saving duties and enjoy the festive season."
