Dave Mott's Star Wars WWII Insignias are Perfect for Geeky Airmen

Artist Dave Mott is giving America's fighting forces something to think about with his Star Wars WWII insignias. These Star Wars WWII insignias feature some of the film's most iconic (and hated) characters in cute warlike poses.

Mott's Star Wars WWII insignias were inspired by Disney, who during WWII designed and painted over 1,200 insignias. I am loving the machine gun-toting Admiral Ackbar. The heavy-artillery Tauntan is also awesome too, and I have mixed feelings about Watto from Episode I.

If the military were to start painting insignias on their planes again, I think they should strongly consider Mott's Star Wars WWII insignias. After all, nothing strikes fear into the heart of the enemy quite like a plane filled with bombs and covered in Wookie art.
