Seattle-based agency Digital Kitchen has created a unique Tweet-controlled instrument, Stanley the piano, for the Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle. Stanley the piano is a player piano that can automatically play songs that have been requested by tweets sent to @stanleypiano. The songs go into a queue, and the person will get an @reply when the song he or she requested is next up to be played.
Stanley's play-ready list includes over 100 songs, which are from the different bands and DJs that will be playing at the event. These include Neko Case, Fitz and the Tantrums and more. However, if a song is requested that Stanley the Piano doesn't know, he can actually learn it! According to PSFK, he's added a few different new songs, such as Call Me Maybe, to his collection.
If you're attending the festival, Stanley will be positioned at the parking lot on Pike Street.
