The vehicles of the future are going to be so safe that designers of today are envisioning such creations as the stained-glass driverless car. Made entirely out of glass, it is essentially a work of art on wheels. The interior is just as intriguing as the exterior. The stained-glass driverless car houses a full bed with comforter and all so that people can catch up on their sleep while it takes them to their final destination.
Designed by Dominic Wilcox, the stained-glass driverless car debuted during the London Design Festival 2014. Dubbed the Stained-glass Driverless Sleeper Car of the Future, Wilcox says, "In the future it will be safer to drive in a driverless car than it will in a manual car, therefore we don’t need the protection systems that are built into contemporary cars. We can just have a shell of any design."
