Paola Sakr Designs the SŪRYA Collection of Artful Vessels

Lebanon-based multidisciplinary designer Paola Sakr has created the SŪRYA collection, which is an embodiment of the Sanskrit word for 'the sun.' The concept of the capsule aims to bring a sense of warmth and is inspired by the renewal of the Spring season.

All of the vessels in the collection are carefully crafted by hand by Sakr and it is all done in the process of wheel throwing. Each one is created differently but the entire collection is committed to a sense of individuality as no two are the same. SŪRYA is representative of the imperfection's beauty and the intimate connection between the medium and the artist. The vessels are made by hand and all the textures are made through the artist's touch.
