London studio SPPARC has worked on a new renovation which takes place at a townhouse in Fitzrovia, London. It is detailed with a honeycomb-shaped roof and is meant for a family business. The design project takes over an outdated renovation by Charlotte Street Conservation Area from the 90s.
Founder of the studio Trevor Morriss speaks about the project, stating "The vision for the Fitzrovia project was the potential for a heritage building to be carefully adapted to provide interactive workspace. The Grade II-listed Georgian building was subject to a low-quality refurbishment in the 1990s which included an incongruous rear extension under a glass pyramid structure. Once cleared from the 1990s glass and steel infill, the rear courtyard was the perfect opportunity to create our own hive for the family office – a collaborative social space to inspire and prompt community."
