Self-Cleaning Sunglasses

Sacuba introduces the world's first self-cleaning sunglasses. This patented eyewear system can clean lenses without the need to carry around cleaning cloths or tissues. All one has to do is flip the lens up and down few times and there will be no more smudges on the sunglasses lenses, thus making sure that a user can see with clarity during outdoor activities.

All sunglasses have the common problem of smudgy lenses, which happen due to a build up of skin oil, sweat, dust or water spray. Many of us find it inconvenient to carry around and use wiping cloths, so quite often we resort to using a shirt when a lens become smudgy. Using a shirt to rub lenses is the worst way to clean lenses as it can cause irreversible scratches on the lenses that can make it even harder to see through in the long term. This is why Sacuba invented its self-cleaning sunglasses to provide a much more efficient way to clean lenses without the need to use anything else.

The Sacuba self-cleaning sunglasses feature patented, built-in cleaning pads fitted inside the frame. These pads are made using high-end microfiber. They are capable of imitating the same strength and softness as our fingers, and are a much more effective cleaning material than ordinary fabric. Due to its strong ability to remove dirt, oil and grease without causing scratches, microfiber is well known for lenses- and glasses-cleaning purposes. When the cleaning pads become dirty, they can be detached from the frame and run under warm water until clean.

The entire frame is made from TR90, a highly flexible, durable and shape-retaining material. It does not matter how often you clean the lenses, the frame will remain as tough as when purchased. The wraparound design and soft rubber tips of the sunglasses work together to provide maximum grip and comfort. There are also five popular frame colors to choose from.

By default, each set includes a polarized grey lens with an anti-reflection layer to cut out the glare from surfaces like roadways and water. These sunglasses also come with advanced interchangeable lens technology. With a flick of the interlock, a user can release and swap out the lens for another color to adapt to changing light conditions. For example, use the grey lens on bright, sunny days, the brown lens on cloudy days, or change to a yellow lens at dawn to increase contrast for golf and fishing.
