While drivers have dash cams to keep record evidence of potential accidents, cyclists now have the Spectacam helmet camera to keep tabs on the street.
Conceived by Kickstarter Josiah Ng, the Spectacam helmet camera attaches on via Velcro and automatically records onto the smartphone after the app is downloaded. While recording, the phone, which is secured onto the front of the bike, displays what the camera is recording in front and behind the cyclist simultaneously, but can be adjusted to any other angle the user wishes. This helmet camera is great for safety on the busy streets, but also for those who want to capture the beautiful sites on their brisk ride around town.
Compatible with iPhone or Android products, the Spectacam has an approximate battery life of three hours, is lightweight, water-resistant and comes with a built-in microphone to capture any sounds or dialogue in case any confrontations arise.
