Filipino chocolate brand Oodaalolly entered in collaboration with Filipino rum brand Kasama for a special batch chocolate release. The innovative partnership made a splash last year by combining a stunning aesthetic with artisanal expertise and brand pride.
The two collaborators used "rare ingredients available in small quantities." Oodaalolly used "a stash of imported Philippine cacao" and steeped it entirely in Kusama rum. Within a year's time, the cacao had absorbed over 80% of the rum. This experiment concluded with Oodaalolly creating a unique special batch chocolate bar to "celebrate the Philippines, [and] the flavors of the tropics." Because of the rum infusion, the chocolate has a rich caramel aroma.
Each special batch chocolate bar is 25 grams and is presented in beautiful gold-tone paper-backed foil.
