Sightful is a human-computer interaction company and it prepares to release its first product -- Spacetop. This is an augmented reality laptop that is entirely screenless. It projects taps to a virtual screen that measures 100 inches -- the laptop is a hardware deck along with a full-size keyboard that comes with a pair of tailored NReal glasses. The glasses allow users to project tabs right in front of the user and remain out of sight for everyone else.
Spacetop runs on a Snapdragon 865 that is paired together with an Adreno 650 GPU, 256GB storage, and 8GB RAM. Co-founder Tamir Berliner notes that "Laptops are the centerpiece of our daily working lives, but the technology has not evolved with the modern, work from anywhere, privacy matters, ‘road warrior’ mentality. Meanwhile, augmented reality is full of potential and promise but is yet to find its daily use case."
