Axiom recently entered into a partnership with SpaceX in order to begin bringing space tourists to the International Space Station. The two organizations will look to open up the service during the second quarter of 2021. The trip will last for a total of 10 days, with eight days onboard the ISS and two travel days. NASA initially announced in 2019 that spots on the ISS would cost approximately $35,000 per night.
The Axiom CEO, Michael Suffredini, spoke about the project, "This history-making flight will represent a watershed moment in the march toward universal and routine access to space. This will be just the first of many missions to ISS to be completely crewed and managed by Axiom Space -- a first for a commercial entity."
