Hammacher Schlemmer has created a solar umbrella that charges your phone with sun power. Through solar panels integrated with the top of an umbrella, power is sent to connected phones. Two USB ports along the parasol's pole allow you to tap into some sweet solar power.
Four photovoltaic panels are distributed on the umbrella evenly to capture the most sunlight. In case the sun's not out, a rechargeable battery is included so you can keep on charging your phone. In addition to absorbing the sun, the umbrella also blocks out most UV rays protecting both you and your phones.
According to Hammacher Shlemmer, this umbrella is the first solar parasol to be made available to the public. The umbrella is currently being offered on the Hammacher website.
