I wish I had these super cool sunglasses the last time I was on vacation and had to ditch my nice tanning spot and run back to my hotel room to charge my iPod.
SIG, or Self-Energy Converting Sunglasses, are basically sunglasses that collect the free solar energy and allow you to use that energy to juice up your music player, phone or other small gadgets.
The technology is pretty simple: the glasses have a thin layer of solar cells that collect the solar energy, which you can then access through the power jack at the back of the glasses’ frame.
The SIG concept is by designers Hyun-Joong Kim and Kwang-Seok Jeong.
