The Conceptual 'Solar Mountain' Harnesses Energy

The conceptual 'Solar Mountain' has been designed by Nuru Karim of NUDES as a multifunctional structure for Fly Rance in the Nevada Desert that would provide a way to harness the power of the sun and more. The structure features a breathtaking mountainous aesthetic that is achieved with solar panels across the exterior to harness the sun's rays, which would convert to 300 MWh of electricity per year. The building accommodates the surrounding landscape and ecosystem to support rather than affect existing wildlife.

The conceptual 'Solar Mountain' was designed for the LAGI 2020 Fly Ranch design challenge and has been shortlisted to move onto the next stage which includes prototyping. This could see the real deal brought to the location in the near future.
