These old Vans have been turned into awesome works of art by designers Jethro Haynes and Hudson Powell. They're really brilliant, with an amazing attention to detail - if only you could still wear them...
It is great that these are not simply 'decorated shoes' but all encompassing works of art. For example, the octopus appearing to climb out of the sea is of course crawling out of the middle of the shoe. The close up image really does show the attention to detail, from the tress to the tiny shrubs.
I have included the great piece Jethro did as a shoe advert for one of their clients. It really does look like a coral reef, which is very cool if you consider it was all done with shoes!
They rock!
