To encourage kids to play and become more mindful of the effect wasteful packaging has on the environment, Varvara Komarova developed this fun snack packaging concept. Named, 'BOOMASH,' the snack cartons take the forms of cubes, triangles and geometric spheres that have interlocking sides.
Filled with dried fruit snacks, once the cartons are empty, kids are able to take them apart and begin creating imaginative building block structures from the packaging components. Each of the pieces are able to interlock with one another, so with more snacking, kids also get more toys. In addition to promoting creative play, the BOOMASH packaging also manages to instill ideas in kids like healthy eating and giving items a second life as something entirely new.
