Voice-Controlled Thermostats

This Smart Thermostat Combines Nest's Automation with Google Now

Thanks to its integration with Google Now, the Nest smart thermostat can now be controlled with voice commands. This means the days of getting up to adjust the temperature of your home are over. Using your phone, you can now say things like "Google, change temperature to 75 degrees" and your house will adjust accordingly.

Integrating the Nest smart thermostat with Google Now means a card will pop up with Nest's automated control settings. For example, if Nest knows you are on your way home from work and is about to turn the temperature up, the notification will appear as a Google Now card.

The voice-control feature only works with Android devices currently, unless you have the Google app for iOS devices. You will also need to give Google permission through your Nest account.
