White Noise Baby Monitors

The 'BreathJunior' Smart Speaker System Keeps an Eye on Infants

The 'BreathJunior' smart speaker system is an advanced baby-tracking solution for parents to integrate into their nursery that would help them to keep a closer eye on the health of their child. Developed by a team of researchers at the University of Washington, the system works by playing white noise and recording how the noise is reflected back to the unit. This will continuously detect for breathing and motion to keep parents in touch with children after being put down to sleep, while also soothing infants with white noise to help them rest more soundly.

The prototype 'BreathJunior' smart speaker system and the findings of the unit will be presented in Los Cabos, Mexico on October 22 at the MobiCom 2019 conference.
