This Smart Jumpsuit is Packed with a Series of Motion Sensors

A new smart jumpsuit has been developed as part of the Rhythms in Infant Brain (RIB) project by scientists at the University of Helsinki in Finland as a way to monitor infant movements. The onesie is packed with a series of motion sensors from Movesense from Suunto that will continuously track the movements of the baby throughout the day. This will allow caregivers to get a more accurate projection of how a child might be developing and beyond for a more holistic viewpoint of their health.

The smart jumpsuit was explained by lead scientist professor Sampsa Vanhatalo who said, "This is a revolutionary step forward. The measurements provide a tool to detect the precise variation in motility from the age of five months, something which medical smart clothes have not been able to do until now."
