Sony's New Wearable Module Clips Onto Regular Classes

Sony's latest smart eyewear may not have a name yet but it does have a variety of awesome features. For one, it has stand-alone functionality and is equipped with a pixel-heavy OLED display. This eyewear can be clipped onto regular sunglasses and fashion eyewear. Weighing in at only 40 grams, it features a pair of modules that are situated above each ear along with a 0.23-inch display.

The display offers a 640 x 400 resolution and is designed to not dominate the user's field of view.

Display aside, the eyewear comes with an ARM Cortex A7 processor and a 400 mAh battery, in addition to Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.

This smart eyewear isn't ready for a widespread consumer roll-out yet however, so Sony is looking to supply a limited number of units to developers. Developers can then either host an app on a paired smartphone or load it directly onto the eyewear module.
