The SMAFO 4 features an LCD instrument panel, an integrated GPS tracking device, an Axa frame lock, and security features accessible via the SMAFO Connect app. It also has a built-in LED light with daylight sensor, Shimano brakes and drive components, and a luggage rack that can carry up to 20 kilograms of cargo. The SMAFO 4 weighs 26 kilograms and retails for 2,199 Euros ($2,345 USD) for the standard model, or 2,299 Euros ($2,452 USD) for the Limited Edition model, which has a special plaque and puncture-resistant Schwalbe Big Ben tires.
